Web console

Everything the svl tool does, in your browser: sign in or create an account.

Signing in

Enter your email and the 6-digit code we send. No password. A browser stays signed in until you sign out, or until it goes unused for 14 days. Each browser is its own API key: you can see and revoke them under Settings → API keys, next to your svl login sessions.

If you're in more than one account (your own and a team's), pick which one you're working in at the top of the sidebar. It works like svl --account.

What's in it

  • Overview: your balance and how long it lasts at today's rate, what's running, and anything that needs attention.
  • Services: deploy and manage autoscaling services: replicas, live logs, scaling, new revisions and rollback.
  • Pods: one-off containers, with their logs and a terminal.
  • Domains: your apps' HTTPS addresses, and your own domains with the DNS records to create.
  • Volumes, Billing (card top-ups, auto top-up, tax invoices, vouchers), Team and Settings (account details, API keys, SSH keys, registry logins, email preferences).

Members of a team see everything about its workloads; billing and the team are for owners and admins.

The deploy page shows the svl command that does the same thing, so you can copy it into a script.

Terminals

Open a terminal on any running pod or replica: it's a shell inside the container, like svl ssh, with no SSH key needed. Terminals live in a bar at the bottom of the console:

  • They keep running while you move between pages.
  • Minimise one to its tab and click the tab to bring it back; pop it out to full screen.
  • You can have five open at once.
  • A terminal closes after 30 minutes without typing. Reloading the page ends its shell; the tab offers Reconnect for a new one.

Images built FROM scratch (with no shell inside) can't open a terminal.

Press ⌘K (Ctrl-K) to jump to any page, service, pod, domain or volume, or to deploy, add credit, or open a terminal.
